If we have more guys than girls when forming the 2:1 lineup.
I was told you can do a lineup where girls can keep batting, rotatingly through the lineup.
Can we only do this with 4 girls?, we can't do with 3? |

This is what you call the 'unequal batting order'.
SCENARIO 1: Suppose you have 10 males and 4 females. This is what your batting order would look like.
Lineup: M1, M2, F1, M3, M4, F2, M5, M6, F3, M7, M8, F4, M9, M10, F1, M1, M2, F2, M3, M4, F3, etc.
You can see that the same female will not bat after the same two males every time.
SCENARIO 2: Suppose you have the same 10 males and only 3 females
Lineup: M1, M2, F1, M3, M4, F2, M5, M6, F3, M7, M8, AO, M9, M10, F1, M1, M2, F2, M3, M4, F3, M5, M6, AO, etc. where AO=Automatic Out
On another note: No male can bat a second time, etc. until all the females have batted a first time, etc. thus your line up will have males and females alternating probably near the bottom of your line up. This will happen for example when you have 6 guys and 4 girls. M1, M2, F1, M3, M4, F2, M5, F3, M6, F4, M1, M2, F1, etc. or M1, M2, F1, M3, M4, F2, M5, M6, F3, F4, M1, M2, F1, etc.
Looks confusing but it really isn't.
